Reminder that this December is the transitional period for the Aids to training (Clause 10.8.2) change to the common anniversary date.
As part of our SECA settlement, we agreed to shift the Aids to training common anniversary date from 10 December each year to 31 January each year. This change aligns the Aids to training anniversary more closely with the RMO rotation dates.
The transitional arrangements for this change take place this renewal, meaning that on 10 December 2024 you’ll receive $300, for the period through to 31 January 2025. Then on 31 January 2025 you’ll be allocated $2,000 through to 31 January 2026.
To reflect this transitional arrangement, the maximum accrual for 31 January 2025 to 31 January 2027 will be increased to $6,300 (from the usual $6,000).
Do you have a specific question about Aids to training funding? Check out the Clause 10 resource in the National Manual. It contains detailed explanations, FAQs and worked examples.
