We have some exciting news to share – you can now shop for your required textbooks, all in one place!
STONZ has partnered with Ubiq to set up a place where STONZ members can purchase the textbooks that are required for training. Ubiq have gone through the agreed reimbursement lists that are part of the National Manual for each specialty and added these to their website. There are the odd text’s missing – but the team is working on these to build up the collection.
STONZ members can currently access an introductory offer of 15% off textbooks on the site, 10% of general books and stationery and they are also currently offering free freight on all orders.
As part of the STONZ SECA, any textbooks that are a requirement of training and listed on the reimbursement lists should be covered by the district and reimbursed to you. However, often we hear from members that finding all the textbooks can be difficult and often involves having to purchase from across multiple sites.
We hope this partnership with Ubiq will make it easier to shop for what you need while also supporting local.

Also, did you know that there is also a process for adding and removing items from the agreed STONZ reimbursement lists? If you believe something should be on these lists that isn’t, such as a textbook, course or conference then follow the process outlined in the National Manual – if you have questions or need assistance with this please let us know.
And the process does work – at our National Engagement forum last week, we added an exam prep program to the Anaesthetics list, which was applied for by an RMO, a course to the Orthopaedic list which was applied for by a group of SMOs, and updates were made to the Anatomical Pathology list which were submitted by the College.
